Vistasp M. Karbhari is a Professor in the Departments of Civil Engineering, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he served as the 8th president from 2013 to 2020. An internationally reputed researcher, Dr. Karbhari is an expert in the processing and mechanics of composites, durability of materials, infrastructure rehabilitation, and multi-threat mitigation and has authored/coauthored over 460 papers in journals and conference publications and is the editor/co-editor of 6 books. Chengqing Wu is currently working as a professor in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. Prof Wu is the Chair of the Australian Chapter of the International Association of Protective Structures from 2013 to 2017 and an associate editor of ASCE Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities. He successfully organised many international conferences such as the 4th International Conference of Protective Structures (ICPS 2016) and the 8th and 13th International Conferences on Shock & Impact Loads on Structures, (SILOS 2009 and SILOS 2019). He has published a book “Development of Ultra-High Performance Concrete against Blasts” (2018) and over 260 referred international journal papers. Ching-Chih Tsai is currently a life distinguished Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taichung, Taiwan, where he served the 2012-2014 department chairman. He received his Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA, 1991. He has been elevated to Fellow of IEEE, IET, CACS, RST and TFSA. Dr. Tsai has published more than 600 journal and conference papers, and seven patents in the fields of intelligent control and robotics, where he received many prestigious awards and honors from IEEE and numerous professional societies, and many best conference paper awards technically supported by IEEE. He served as the two-term President of Chinese Automatic Control Society (CACS) from 2012-2015 and two-term President of Robotics Society of Taiwan (RST) from 2016 to 2019, and the Vice Dean and Dean of the R&D Office, NCHU, from 2019 to 2021. In recent years, he has served associate editors of IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems and International Journal of Fuzzy Systems. Moreover, he has served as the President of International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) since September 2021, a BoG member and the associate VP for conferences and meetings of IEEE Systems, Man Cybernetics Society (SMCS), the chair of Distinguished Lecture Program of IEEE SMCS in 2022. From 2018 to 2019, he served as the Editor in Chief of a new international robotics journal called “International Journal of iRobotics”. His current interests include advanced nonlinear control methods, deep model predictive control, fuzzy control, neural-network control, deep learning, broad learning and reinforcement learning, and intelligent learning control methods with their applications to advanced mobile robotics, intelligent service robotics, intelligent mechatronics, intelligent automation, smart machinery, smart agriculture and smart semiconductor packaging.

Haibo Ge received his PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry from The University of Kansas in 2006, and then moved to The Scripps Research Institute for postdoctoral study. In 2009, he began his independent academic career at the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis and relocated to Texas Tech University in 2020. Research by his group is mainly focused on the development of novel methods for carbon–carbon and carbon–heteroatom bond formation through transition metal catalyzed C–H functionalization.

Vladan Devedzic is a Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2021, he is a Corresponding Member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA). His long-term professional objective is to bring close together ideas from the broad fields of Artificial Intelligence / Intelligent Systems and Software Engineering. His current professional and research interests include programming education, software engineering, intelligent software systems and technology-enhanced learning (TEL). He is the founder and the chair of the GOOD OLD AI research network. Vladan Devedzic has authored/co-authored more than 380 research papers, published in international and national journals or presented at international and national conferences, as well as six books on intelligent systems and software engineering. Some of his papers have been selected by foreign editors and published in books on artificial intelligence systems. He has also given more than 20 invited talks, keynote talks and plenary talks at international conferences, as well as more than 20 tutorials.

Francesco De Paola holds a degree in Civil Engineering (1997) and a Ph.D in Hydraulic Engineering (2002) from the University of Napoli Federico II, where he’s currently associate professor (qualified for full professorship) of water engineering. He was visiting research fellow at the Pace University New York in 2009. He has contributed more than 100 papers in peer reviewed international journals (google scholar H-index=25) and he is one of the Guest Editors of “Water Supply” (IWA). In 2017 he got a 615 k€ Award for H2020 IA Project Phusicos, meaning ‘According to nature’, in Greek φυσικός, that demonstrate how nature-inspired solutions reduce the risk of extreme weather events in rural mountain landscapes. In 2019 he got a 225 k€ Award for research project MATCAS from the Ministry of the Environment of Italy. His scientific interests include the characterization of river networks and streamflow regimes, the analysis of water resources management, climate change adaptation measures, NBS modeling, and BIM for Hydraulic Infrastructures.

Georgios Papaioannou is an expert in digital heritage management, archaeology, and museum studies. A graduate of the School of Architecture, University of Waterloo, Canada, Tris worked in Rome, Amsterdam, London and Vancouver before returning to Hong Kong. She has been awarded a broad range of academic research projects including urban revitalization schemes, district aspiration studies, waterfront planning research, sustainable development, heritage conservation and public engagements. In all of her work, Tris advocates an active approach to engaging community participation in the architecture and design. Alan Wang is a principal investigator and Associate Professor at The University of Auckland. He has more than ten years of research experience in bioengineering informatics and integrated medicine, especially in advancing the role of artificial intelligence in health care. His research interests include bioengineering, biosensor intelligence, data informatics, neurocomputing, and biomedical statistics and simulation. He has developed medical data analytics methods for mobile health and personalized diagnosis and prognosis based on intelligent computing theories. He has experience analyzing huge cohorts of patient data with applications of early diagnosis, disease understanding, and effective treatment of patients with different disorders. Dr. Kenza Maher is a Scientist at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) since January 2015. With over 12 years of experience in the battery energy storage R&D field, Dr. Maher has made significant contributions to the development of safe and reliable materials for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. Her research interests also encompass the advancement of diagnostic strategies and protocols to validate the performance and reliability of battery systems, cells, and materials. Before joining QEERI, Dr. Maher worked as a Research Fellow and Project Leader at the Joint Future Mobility Research Lab, collaborating with the BMW Group and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. During this time, her focus was on safety evaluation and diagnostics of BMW electric car batteries, with the aim of mitigating the risks associated with thermal runaway. Dr. Maher completed her Ph.D. at Cadi Ayyad University in Morocco in January 2011. Her doctoral research centered around the development of new phosphate and oxide materials for high-energy lithium-ion batteries. As a Guest Researcher at Angström Laboratory, Department of Material Chemistry, Uppsala University in Sweden, she furthered her research during her Ph.D. studies. Afterward, she joined the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore as a Research Fellow, where she worked on a novel method to determine the battery state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) based on thermodynamic properties. Following her tenure at Nanyang Technological University, Dr. Maher moved to TUM CREATE Ltd in Singapore, where she conducted research on the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of batteries.

Dr. Abdul Talib Bon is Professor of Production and Operations Management in Department of Production and Operations Management at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He has a PhD in Manufacturing, which he obtained from the Universite de La Rochelle, France. Srđan Kostić is the corresponding member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia since 2022, senior PhD research scientist and Geology Department Manager at Jaroslav Černi Water Institute, since 2015, and associate professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences University of Novi Sad (FTNUNS), since 2022.He graduated at theUniversity of Belgrade Faculty of Mining and Geology (UBFMG) in 2010 with average grade 10.0 as the best student in generation. He defended his PhD thesis in 2013 at UBFMG on the application of nonlinear dynamics in analysis of mining induced earthquakes. Gordana Ostojic is engineer of technology and master of chemical sciences in the field of general and applied chemistry. She has worked on several positions in the Quality control sector in "Alumina" company in Zvornik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, since 2000. Xianguang Yang received his Bachelor’s degree in Optics from Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in 2012, and completed his Doctorate in Optical Engineering with the theoretical and experimental combination of nanowire and nanoparticle photonics at the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies affiliated with SYSU in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Baojun Li (Changjiang Scholar). He received National Postgraduate Scholarship in 2016. He became an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Nanophotonics at the Jinan University in 2016 and became an Assistant to the Dean since 2018, then promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. He has mentored 9 MS students. His main research interests include photonics, plasmonics, nano-optics, detectors, optoelectronics and optothermal mechanisms, which were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Dr. Yang has published 3 Book chapters, and 30 peer-reviewed journal publications, such as Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Advanced Optical Materials, Nanophotonics, Nanoscale, ACS Photonics, and etc. He has been an Editorial Board Member of Optics in 2018 and to be a member for RSC Advances Reviewer Panel since 2020. In 2021, he has been appointed as guest editor of Frontiers in Materials (IF 3.5), managing the research topic of Photo-Sensitive Materials and Devices for Nanophotonics, Optoelectronics and Photoelectrocatalysis. He is a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), Optical Society of America (OSA), Chinese Optical Society (COS) and Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE).

Dr.-Ing Alhassan salami Tijani had his Ph.D (2010) in Process Engineering from Brandenburg Technical University (BTU), Cottbus Germany, his Master’s (2004) in Energy Systems from Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Juelich, Germany and diploma in Mine Mechanical Engineering from Ghana (1998). Dr.-IngAlhassan salami Tijani is a senior lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at the UniversitiTeknologiMARA , Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. He is also an associate member of the Solar research Institute, UiTM Shah Alam. He joined the university in 2011, and subsequently served the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (2013-2016) as the course coordinator for Thermodynamics II. Dr.-IngAlhassan salami Tijani has been lecturing on Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering and Computational Fluid Mechanics, whichhappen to be his areas of research interest, and has published more than 37 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings locally and internationally. He has served FKM Management Team at various levels such as conference organizing team member and coordinator for laboratory accreditation and participation in student’s activities. The main focus of Dr. Alhassan’s research is computational and modeling of energy systems, heat transfer enhancement for efficient nano-cooling processes such as car radiator, Renewable hydrogen Technology, Polymer Electrolyzer Membrane Technology, heat and mass transport, solar energy applications and energy conversion. Due to his expertise and experience, he has been appointed as a judge in design competitions, external examiner, panel evaluator, visiting researcher, and a member of various technical committees at national and international levels.

Kazi Mostafa accomplished his Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Manufacturing Management at the University of South Australia, followed by the attainment of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical and Electro-mechanical Engineering from National Sun Yat-sen University, situated in Taiwan Province, China. His scholarly endeavours predominantly encompass the realms of image processing and robotics. He has made substantial scholarly contributions to this domain, evidenced by a prolific publication record exceeding 30 research papers in prestigious international journals and conferences. Spanning the period from 2016 to 2022, he assumed the role of Lecturer at the University of Limerick, participating in the institution's China-based 2+2 program. Presently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor within the School of Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China.
